Country over Party Discussion Deck

Iowa’s electorate is roughly 1/3 Republican, 1/3 Democrat and 1/3 Independent. You cannot win a statewide election without swinging voters from another party in your favor. Inviting voters who don’t typically identify as Democrats is an exercise in trust. These conversation cards were created to facilitate a unifying discussion on the shared values all Iowans possess. They were used in rooms where supporters from across the political spectrum gathered in the first few weeks of the campaign.
